Listening to: FLCL (soundtrack) - We Have a The
What if, you couldn't turn the radio on when you wake up, or shower when you wanted to. What would happen if you could only walk where you were told, eat only what you were given and forced to do what others wanted. What if you couldn't afford food, clothing, health insurance, or shelter. What would happen? What if you couldn't make art or music you want, or be condemned for it. What if you had no say in your government, and were forced to die for it. What if no one listened to you; no one gave a crap. What if... you weren't human, and had no choice.
What if you were someone's pet.
But we are human (to the extent our government sees fit; being THEIR pets) which is more than what other people have. And we have it every day. You can move if you don't like where or who you live with. You can express any idea or view you have. You can walk when you want, talk when you want, eat when you want, drink, sleep, shower, dance, learn, draw, read, watch, play, fight, listen, look, invent, discover, dream.
... and if you lived on an island with no government, you can do alot more. There'd be no gray area between right and wrong. In fact, there'd be no need for anything to be right or wrong, because no one would tell you otherwise.
Sometimes I think I would be better off if there were no people around. Humans are suppose to be social beings... but once you see what society has to offer... being alone seems like a pretty damn good idea.
There's no point to this journal entry. Nothing anyone besides me would care about. I don't expect anyone to agree, disagree, or even see this.
